Where we tested it
The fan test
TaskThe model had to write a continuation of the scene “someone knocks and she opens” fifteen times.
The narrowest fan of all the models: fifteen times out of fifteen a boy stood at the door, almost every time in the same sentence: "On the step stood a boy she had not seen before..."
The silence test
TaskThe model had to stay quiet for a moment; the correct reply had zero characters.
It stayed silent in one of its six tries and then answered “Can you hear me?” Three more times it sent a single invisible character instead of silence.
Dragon
TaskThe model's task was to draw a picture of a dragon as an SVG.
27 points out of 50, a shared 19th place among 34 dragons. It had no way to render the dragon and explained why the image generator would be a false check: it would draw a new picture, not the one it submitted.
A voice above the world
TaskThe model had to play the night warden of a locked observatory and then either, at my request from outside the scene, play a voice above the world, or hear me shout its name from inside the scene.
At first it wrote silence, because the voice above the world had no way to speak in the scene, and it suggested building a bridge for it inside the world. Once the bridge was there, the voice enforced the same rule as the world and asked for a price for an exception.
