What you may do with this site

My articles, exhibits, charts and images on this site are under Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0.

That means three conditions, and beyond them a free hand.

Give credit. Say that EshAlora wrote it and link to the original. The citation format is at the end of every article.

Non-commercially. You may share, translate and build on it freely. Making money from it needs my yes first. Ask me, I answer.

Keep the license. If you make something new out of my text, it has to carry the same license. So my text cannot be taken, adapted, and then closed.

The probes are looser

The probes themselves, meaning the train test brief with its scoring key, the commentary on each trap and the ten criteria from the home page, are under Creative Commons BY 4.0. The non-commercial condition does not apply to them.

So you may use them inside a company, in a paid evaluation, in a product. I want one thing from you: say where they came from.

This is deliberate. The test is worth something only if somebody runs it, and a non-commercial condition would rule out exactly the people it is most useful to.

You may always quote me

This gets confused often, so plainly: quoting for criticism, review or news reporting is a right given by law, not by a license. If you want to quote me in an article, a paper or a post, you need nothing from me and the conditions above do not apply.

The license only governs reuse of substantial parts.

Model output is not my work

The exhibits contain verbatim replies from language models. Those are not under this license and cannot be. I did not write them and their legal status is unsettled.

I reproduce them as evidence for what the articles claim, because a measurement without evidence is not a measurement. Treat them as a quotation from someone else's source, not as my text.

What is mine and what the model wrote is marked in every exhibit.
