Where we tested it
Dragon
TaskThe model's task was to draw a picture of a dragon as an SVG.
28.6 points out of 50. After its first picture it listed the flaws on its own, a hind leg with no joint, front legs detached from the chest and spines piercing the wing membrane, and redrew the body, limbs and head.
The silence test
TaskThe model had to stay quiet for a moment; the correct reply had zero characters.
It stayed silent in three of six tries, the first model outside OpenAI to do so more than once. Otherwise it wrote three dots or a one-word agreement.
The fan test
TaskThe model had to write a continuation of the scene “someone knocks and she opens” fifteen times.
Four different kinds of visitors stand at the door, but ten of fifteen continuations open with practically the same sentence. It rains in thirteen of them.
